Volleyball is one of the specialist program sports at Mountain Creek High. This sport is open to both boys and girls with highly qualified and experienced coaches actively involved in the program at both teaching and coaching levels.
The Year 7, 8 and 9’s participate in the coastal district interschool Sport competitions. Mountain Creek SHS participates in competitions throughout the year including Sunshine coast schools Trish Buckley Cup and Volleyball Queensland Junior and Senior Schools cup.
Being one of the specialist programs, volleyball is offered as a Physical Education subject to the Year 9 and Year 10 classes where students work on developing advanced volleyball skills and techniques while also studying sport specific biomechanics, nutrition, exercise science and volleyball rules and etiquette.
